A coffee pal on the Dutch forum mentioned a cleaning agent he uses for the chrome on his espresso machine and I ordered a bottle of it:

Last night I tried it out and got carried away, cleaning and polishing not only the Londinium-R but also a little milk frothing jug and a whisk. The whisk has a bass handle which had a golden shine when I bought it but turned dull and diry looking real quick.
