A few moments of short wave radio listening

As you can see in the video below, radio amateurs are quite romantic, contrary to what one hears so often. These elderly nerds are actually very pleasant to keep in the house.
Of course it is helpful to restrict, if one must, the perimeter of where the radios may be placed but remember: if you ban the radios to the shed, that is where he will be.
If one likes to keep him in close range, then consider throwing out some plants or a cabinet to make room for a particularly good looking vintage radio of his in the living room.
This has the extra advantage that one does not need to walk up the stairs to the attic with his coffee, lunch and favorite snacks.
If handled well, you will find that he remains happy and sociable even as most of his age have practically dried up.
He needs very little in terms of special care but remember never to say things like "why would you order this new antenna, don't you have two already?"
Instead, say, for instance "sure, why not, great idea, go ahead!"
