At Alleborgh coffee machines in Almere where I picked up a mini tamper, I saw a few interesting machines:

Then a Marzocco grinder that was developed, I believe, by Etzinger. It sort of tamps too!
And a professional PUQ press with a low flat head so you can stack a big heavy grinder on top of it to speed up the workflow:
